Eat More Produce!

If you live in the Central Florida area, you may be missing out on one of the area’s best hidden treasures:  Eat More Produce. From the looks of the exterior you may not be impressed; but once you step through the doors your senses will be greeted by a kalediscope of colors and the smell of fresh produce.

Because their produce is locally grown, it tends to be a hit and miss shopping trip according to what’s in season and when they’ve received a new batch of goodies.  However, if you have some time and a flexible shopping list, it’s a real winner!

Some of the newer store additions include:  a wide variety of dried fruit, beans and nuts, a selection of fine wines, a Boar’s Head meat and cheese counter and household cleaning products.

Eat More Produce is more than a market to me; it’s a wise investment.  I love spending my dollar to support local farmers and business owners.  They really go the extra mile in not only making my shopping experience pleasant, but providing fresh and ripe foods for my family.   Three cheers for Eat More Produce!

Question of the day:  What’s your favorite…fruit/veggie/cheese/meat/wine/nut???

Do you browse your local Farmer’s Market?

  1. I made a pact with myself last month that I would eat a fruit or veggie @ every meal. For the most part i’ve done really well. I like veggies, but for some reason I had a hard time including them in every meal.

I live in Fl, but not central Florida anymore. We do have two farmer market type places where I live. It took me a while to work up the courage to go into one of them because it looks pretty rough on the outside. But once I stepped inside it was like a little slice of heaven. It’s not as big as the one Eat More Produce, but it’s decent. They even have a meat counter where they sell chicken, beef, and pork. The meat is a lot cheaper than Publix so I buy 95% of my meat from there. Their prices are awesome compared to the regular grocery store. I really love it. It’s called Clark’s Farmers Market in Hudson (incase you have any west coast florida readers).

    • Clark’s Farmers Market sounds awesome! I love that you can get chicken, beef and pork. 🙂

I agree it’s hard to eat veggies at every meal…so usually I try to sneak them in the main dish. Sometimes it’s helpful!

  2. I’ve never been to the farmers market before 😦 We use to have one where I worked but I hardly ever went. So many goodies to look at tho. My favorite fruit are strawberries, veggies are zucchini, and cheese is provolone 😀
